Year 3 children at All Saints Junior School in Fleet have been finding out about their link with the community in The Gambia through the launch of their ‘what makes a community thrive’ project. Through an African tale, retold at a market, the children have been engaging with the proverb ‘It takes a village to raise a child’.  A few days into their project, they were amazed by the surpirse of an African market awaiting them in school! Inspired by their experience, the children led their own market – selling their hand made crafts and raising an impressive £231.70. Thank you all for your hard work!
