Partnering with “Scouts against Malaria”, in 2011 a bed net survey was undertaken by a Hampshire Scouts expedition to better identify the need and usage of bed nets in local villages surrounding Soma. In 2013 a subsequent expedition carried out a programme of bed net distribution and provided malaria education workshops in collaboration with local Scouts. Kaira Konko co-ordinated logistics and communications with local community leaders to assist with the programme.
